No! No! No! Amy Winehouse Almost Charged For Assault

Winehouse spent last night at Holborn Police Station in central London after arriving for questioning about reports that she hit a man who got in her way while she was playing pool and also that she head-butted another man who was hailing her a cab on Wednesday morning.

I don’t know why, but this just makes me laugh. Maybe she hurt these guys, maybe not, but of course they are going to take it as far as they can. She is Amy Winehouse. They will now get loads of money from Tabloid Magazines and papers that want their “story”. This is how many people make a living here in the UK. Some D list celebrities only get married so they can then sell the pictures to mags like Hello and OK . Every week there is some cheesy spread about some one’s newly redecorated house or brand new baby. The entire family will then slap on a few pounds of make up and pose in front of their couch, their refrigerator, the fire place, the big screen TV and of course out in their beautifully landscaped garden. Most of these people are former pop stars, but some of them are guys who got hit accidentally by a famous person playing pool.

Anyway, Amy was let off with just a warning. No charges were made, but she did finally get a decent nights kip inside a police station.

Wesley Snipes Gets 3 Years

The 45 year old actor, Wesley Snipes, was sentenced to 3 years in prison for tax evasion. Prosecutors described him as a “truly notorious offender” in Ocala, Florida before requesting the maximum sentence.

Some people are saying the court is setting an example with Snipes because he is a wealthy actor. Some are saying they are giving him 3 years just because he is black. But why is no one saying it is because he evaded over 15 million dollars? People never want to believe the truth! He got put away because he broke the law, time and time again, and got away with most of it.

“For nearly a decade, Snipes has engaged in a campaign of criminal tax conduct combining brazen defiance with insidious concealment,” the prosecuting attorney, Robert O’Neill, told the court in a sentencing memorandum. “In the defendant Wesley Snipes, the court is presented with a wealthy, famous and inveterate tax scofflaw. If ever a tax offender was deserving of being held accountable to the maximum extent for his criminal wrongdoing, Snipes is that defendant.”

Alright? It reminds me of when OJ Simpson was on trial. African Americans across the country wanted to believe that OJ was a victim of a racist attack, never mind the fact he killed two innocent people. I wonder if OJ had killed two African Americans, would they have all still been on his side? …food for thought.
